Is this what you think of when you imagine eco.friendly furniture? It sure ain’t your grandma’s living room! Unless she’s a really hip, Corbu-lovin’ grandma, which would be awesome… but I digress.
The Pli range by Australia’s bangdesign is cool and minimal and chock full of eco.creds. The pieces are constructed from a plywood shell that’s been sourced from sustainable plantation grown timber and bonded using low emission formaldehyde gluing processes. The leg frame is polished stainless steel and is tox-free of coatings and lacquers. To top it off, the cushioning is made of CFC-free commercial grade upholstery foam.
I think that these clean-lined pieces would look sharp in a variety of environments, be it work, living or lounge.
