If you’re in Toronto this week and you’re a design professional, a homeowner, a member of the design media, a design student or anyone even remotely interested in interior design, the 2008 Interior Design Show is the place to be. Last year’s IDS attracted a whopping 50,000 visitors and I’m sure that 2008 will surpass that, given the selection of design celebrity speakers, a new slew of small group seminars and the special exhibits featuring green and sustainable design products. Pulling off another super promo campaign for IDS this year are Faulhaber PR, T.O.’s mavens in fashion and lifestyle public relations.
Green design is fortunately high on the IDS agenda this year, including the Sustainable Condo Exhibit, The 10 Innovative Canadian Designers [many are presenting green designs], the return of the popular Studio North and the new workshop “Living With A Commitment To Green” presented by Treehugger.com. No doubt that last one will sell out. I’m really pleased to have been given press access this year, which means that I’ll be posting some great high-resolution images of truly eco.fabulous products on GDG this week. Stay tuned!
