IIDEX/NeoCon Canada 2008
What you’re seeing above is a partial view of the countless number of brochures, catalogues, electronic media [yay for memory sticks!], CD’s, business cards and green seminar notes that I acquired at IIDEX/NeoCon Canada 2008 last week, the massive trade conference that draws over 15,000 design professionals each year. NeoCon is essentially an intense, inspiring and exhausting two days of learning and mega networking — on the social and professional fronts — with some fabulous design parties thrown into the mix [a post on that to come].
I’ve been travelling for work since NeoCon ended, so I’ve just had my first opportunity to sit down and sift through the accumulated contents of the eco-friendly tote bags that they were handing out at the conference. This weekend is all about immersing myself in all of these new goodies and the writing of a few product reviews, which I’ll begin posting here this upcoming week.
Thanx to the many new readers whom I’ve heard from since the conference, who found out about Green Design Girl during my green scouting at NeoCon [I’ve downloaded hundreds of pix from my worn out camera]. It was amazing to meet so many people in the design field — from sales reps to bloggers to architects — who are as excited about green design and its endless possibilities as I am. I’ll be following up with you in the days to come and look forward to sharing my new finds on GDG. Thanx for checking in and a warm welcome to all of my new readers.
