After my previous post on Copenhagen’s new green roof policy, I felt inspired to dig up some good resources on the subject. Anything and everything you ever wanted to know about green roofs can be found via the comprehensive Green Roofs For Healthy Cities, from the private and public benefits to the frequently asked questions.

If you’re looking for urban research and statistics, check out the findings of an extensive study done by the City Of Toronto, which currently has 135 [officially listed] green roofs on private and public buildings throughout the city.

This includes the much lauded and recently unveiled 35,000 square foot green roof at Toronto’s City Hall. Judging by the great photos I’ve seen on-line, I’m looking forward to checking it out in person, especially when the flowers come into bloom.
