Lacquerware by bambu @ Architonic.
I am continuously amazed at how many gorgeous things can be made with bamboo. I’ve seen it in many surprising forms and applications — from accessories and fabrics, to flooring and furniture. It really is an incredibly versatile and renewable resource [and growing at a superhero rate of 3.2 feet or 1 meter per hour!].
I came across these bowls by a company appropriately named bambu and fell in love with their fresh and clean silhouettes; a beautiful pairing of contemporary design with organic materials. These pieces are coiled by hand and finished off with a food-safe natural lacqeur, making them non-toxic while still ensuring that they are waterproof and durable. Colours can be customized to suit your needs.

A stacked view of these eco-chic non-toxic bowls, which are safe for using with warm or cold foods, but can just as easily be used for decorative purposes. I like the contrast between the organic pattern on the inside and the modern lacqueur finish on the outside.
