Arbor Tandem Loveseat by Peter Danko @ Vivavi.
I love the clean and architectural lines of this eco.smart loveseat by Peter Danko. I think it’s brilliant that they were able to create something so beautiful using post industrial automotive seatbelts. These are seatbelts that have been crash-tested, unused by consumers, and end-of-the line — which means that they’d otherwise end up in a landfill if not repurposed in some clever way. Several colour options are available [see next photo].

You can have some serious fun choosing from this wide array of shades. The top two rows are samples of the seatbelt webbing, while the rest are non-toxic finishes that are used to stain the solid maple wood frame. An example of the loveseat featuring the taupe webbing can be seen here.

I’m not suggesting that you really need to get matching seatbelt pillows to go with that knockout of a seatbelt loveseat from Vivavi [sometimes a contrast of materials is best]… but in case you’re so inclined, or would like to add some automotive chic to the rest of your setting, Branch has got them ready and waiting for you — and in some gloriously crisp shades that will really pop against any background.

I don’t know about you, but the red one really revs me. I should also mention that they’ve skillfully woven these pillows to give a deceptively simple appearance, totally seamless and zipper-free. No doubt appealing to all of you hardcore minimalists out there. And maybe a few race car lovahs, too.
